The foundation for which Safety Products Inc was built was based upon our early beginnings as RamWil Industrial Glove Supply in 1968. The intent of RamWil was to import and distribute work gloves of all styles and materials. In April of 1984 RamWil was re-organized and developed to become Safety Products Inc, a well-rounded and more diverse company in the field of occupational safety and health.

After this re-organization took place, SPI primarily served its niche market of the Central Florida phosphate and mining industry. Much of this business was located in the Polk County area. In the late 1980s, SPI diversified into other geographical areas of the state, such as Tampa, Orlando and Miami. In 1997, SPI opened its second location in Charlotte, North Carolina therefore positioning itself as a regional supplier to the Southeast. More recently in 2012, SPI opened its third location in Memphis, Tennessee creating a solid distribution channel throughout the southeast. Today, SPI is the largest independent safety equipment and work zone traffic equipment manufacturer distributor in the Southeast United States with 20 Field Sales Representatives.
